Will it actually cut through chicken bone, or just bend on it?

It cuts. The bone-crushing notch on the lower blade has a deeper bite angle made for spines, ribs, and fish heads — no sawing motion, just one squeeze. Stress-tested for 100,000+ cuts before the edge needs attention.

Is it dishwasher safe?

The blades and handles can both go through a normal cycle, but for the longest edge life pull the blades apart at the pivot first and hand-wash both halves. Towel dry before snapping them back together.

Will my hand cramp during a big prep session?
